Garden Cat

A long hand-linked chain of mixed stones, gathered slowly rather than matched. A carved jadeite guardian sits at the centre and a small carved cat closes the drop.

On grading. Type A means natural jadeite that has not been bleached, impregnated or dyed; surface waxing is permitted within Type A. The A / B / C grades apply to jadeite only and are never used here for other stones. Infrared spectroscopy is the only conclusive test for impregnation, so where a piece has not been tested we say so rather than claim a grade we cannot prove.
